Postman on KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow & Nougat devices (Android 4.4+)

This tutorial is only meant for users having phones running on KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow & Nougat devices (Android 4.4+). If your phone runs a version of Android lesser than KitKat then please find the step by step tutorial here (http://blockspamsms.com)

Google has changed allot of functionality from KitKat onwards leaving many popular apps broken. But great news, Postman is now compatible on devices running on KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow & Nougat devices (Android 4.4+).

It is the only SMS Spam Blocker that works alongside any of your favorite messaging apps like Google Hangouts, Go SMS Pro and even the stock app.

SMS notifications

Postman now displays all SMS notifications including those from safe senders. Kindly permanently disable SMS notifications in your current SMS app (i.e Messaging or Hangouts or any other SMS app) to prevent getting notified twice for a new message. This can be done from the Settings Screen of your SMS app.

Default SMS App

To perform certain actions Postman temporarily needs to be set as the Default SMS app. Setting Postman as the Default SMS app has no side effects whatsoever. Once the action is completed you will be prompted to revert back to your SMS app.

Clean Inbox

The Clean Inbox feature will smartly detect spam in your inbox and move them to Postman. Don't worry, your messages will never be deleted without your confirmation. There are 2 ways you can do this:

Clean the SMS Inbox from the notification bar
